As a child, while I had pets, my favourite to imagine chaos and destruction with was my newt. It was a mighty dragon, rampaging through the castle. Except it was a wet, slow moving, squishy thing that couldn't topple a plastic knight. Close enough! A cat would be far more terrifying.
