I'll admit this might be me. I saw an amazingly cute crochet for monsters book at the book store and immediately snatched it up with visions of myself creating a cute lovable Cthulhu, vampire, and mummy (arguably that one shouldn't require crochet skills). Sadly, however, after a few seconds trying to follow the directions on a How-to-Crochet video, I set my needles down and realised my new book was suddenly a nice art book instead of an instruction manual. Playing the same sequence over and over, then frame by frame, I couldn't discern how the instructor's fingers were moving to immediately produce the knots, stitches, or whatever it is that creates a crochet creature. I'll have to wait until I have a kindly crochet artist to help me in person some day. Until then, we get to see Casper get all tangled up in his mess of colourful yarn while Clair smirks over his defeat. Keep trying, Casper! I'll follow your Instagram account.
