Aside from following your favourite sport, it's hard not to just root for your country to get more medals than others. While watching my own country struggle with a couple major team sports they usually do well in, then watching us get a few great medals in speed racing individual sports, it occurred to me that one or two atheletes can secure an identical medal that a whole team took many games and weeks to earn. The games are done now and with it goes the excitement of non-sports fans enjoying sports. We'll miss you, interesting winter sports! See you in 4 years!
