In this world, people adopt or rescue pumpkins, instead of carving them up and putting them on display. At this stage, they're still children in need of raising. Once they mature through October, they're old enough to be bused off to wherever pumpkins go when they're older. Don't ask me where that is, I haven't drawn it yet. Spectral pumpkin looks pretty disappointed though. Hopefully Logan or Gerald picks it.
