It's hard to grasp the concept of "rules" and "turns" if you've never played a game before. Why can't you just move to the end if that's how you win? After they understand that rules need to be followed, the next step is revising the rules in their favour when they see they're losing. Eventually, it'll be their turn to explain how it's challenging to get an eight on a six sided die.
