Battering up
2022-04-11
My original idea for this comic was to have Peater come up with a new baseball variant, which I will present to you here.
The opposing team is given two extra bases. All of the bases, except for Home plate, can be placed anywhere on the field, as long as the total running distance between all of them is 130 metres. You could put two right beside each other, have the running path cross over itself, anything! And each team can change the layout every inning.
Similarly, the other team can place their infielders (and whatever the other non-base people are called, I'm not a baseball expert) anywhere on the field they wish, but those infielders must stay within their general area during that inning and they must decide this without knowing the opposing team's base layout.
Then add in some other insane changes. I gave up at that point, because it was neither particularly funny nor capable to fit all those details into three panels in a way that anybody would actually read it. Similar to this post, actually. Hey, there, if you're still reading this. Well done!
What fun sports games have you made up? Post in the comments below! Which I don't have. So imagine that you're posting something below.
Wow, that's a good one.
