When baby wants to do something, but is told he can't do it, the natural choice is to get someone else to do it. While I didn't observe this story myself, my son pulled this trick off rather nicely. I appreciate that his desire to obey his parents is so strong that he wouldn't even rub his eyes once after being told not to, but instead immediately grab someone else's finger to rub them instead. Nice out-of-the-box thinking, son. You win this round.
